Hi, my name is Danielle Monahan. I am a graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a degree and certification in Visual Arts Education. Right now I am subbing and working on my art. This fall I will be starting the Curriculum and Instruction masters program at the Plattsburgh branch campus in Queensbury.
I enjoy making all kinds of art. I am mainly a painter I work with oils, acrylics and watercolors. I enjoy creating using mixed media and in most all of my pieces am bringing in different materials. I also have worked with framing, photography, graphic design, web design, metals, wood, ceramics, book binding and sculpture.
All of my flat works I matte and frame myself, that's how they are sold and that goes into the price. For most of my canvas work I use canvas' with a thick edge and either paint the edges to go with the painting, or paint the edges black or white. I don't frame my canvas'. I also price my work by size.
